12 midnight: DJ TENNIS (LIFE AND DEATH)
Dj Tennis is Manfredi Romano. Born in the 70s and raised between New Jersey, Sicily, and Parma. His creative and artistic attitude has always focused on music, with a passion for singing, playing and collecting strange and noisy musical instruments. He became a DJ while promoting his country’s new underground music. Manfredi is responsible for founding and developing some of the most important underground musical events in Italy such as the Elita Festival in Milan and the Dissonanze Festival in Rome. In the last 2 decades Manfredi has started to produce music for theatre, film soundtracks and TV adverts. His productions take their inspiration from the psychedelic, dark and melancholy sounds of the 60s. His musical influences include the Beach Boys, The Who, Talk Talk, Ultravox, XTC, Fugazi, June of 44, Suicide, Radiohead, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Plastikman. In 2010, tired of the music scene of the time, he launched with Greg Oreck a new techno and pop label called Life and Death.
DJ Voz is presently resident at the FEVER in Bilbao where he runs his monthly EnD Room party.
As his main styles he plays deep house, tech house, minimal, and techno, adapting beats to the type of party and session, by day or by night. With more than 13 years’ experience as a resident DJ in the world of electronic music, VOZ is an artist who makes immediate contact with the public. His sessions are characterized by underground electronic music heavy with groove, bringing effervescent warmth to all of his numbers. This effective combination has seen him spin for some of the best clubs in Spain, in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Ibiza, Mallorca and in other countries including England and France. London’s iconic Egg Club, Ibiza’s Ushuaia, Space or Privilege, Barcelona’s The One and a whole range of other clubs have enjoyed his sessions, not forgetting big festivals like Aquasella, Uda Beach, EDF....
