Art After Dark: Chloé + Sutja Gutierrez Live + Trampas

12 midnight: Chloé (Lumière Noire, Paris)

Style: Electronic music

Chloé Thévenin, or just Chloé, is a versatile French DJ, one of the most influential figures in the Parisian house and techno scenes. She has explored a variety of experimental territories, drawing on new club dance canons or even radio and television. Her audio and video productions have earned her contracts for live film music performances in Alfred Hitchcock’s Blackmail, and interactive immersive installations. Her albums, The Waiting Room (2007) and One In Other (2010), are real milestones in the history of Parisian label Kill The DJ, which she herself founded along with renowned producer Ivan Smagghe. Her latest album, Endless Revisions, includes 13 tracks that break away from the dance floor—13 mesmerizing heartbeats merging comatose drums, mysterious vocal lines and volatile synths.

11 pm: Sutja Gutierrez Live (Lumière Noire, Valencia)

Sutja Gutierrez is an artist, musician, a member of the band The Fruhstucks, frequent collaborator at The Ransom Note and host of the radio show Rational Anthem at His music transports you to ethereal atmospheres where you can find experimental lo-fi pop mixed with electronic and psychedelic elements—in his own words, ‘a free, honest, fun experience.’ Since 2010, he has performed in venues and festivals all over Europe, including FIB and Red Bull Tour Bus in Benicàssim, ElectroSplash in Vinaròs, Macarena and City Hall in Barcelona, Barraca and La 3 in Valencia, Nasti Club and Café Berlín in Madrid, La Gaîté Lyrique and Rex Club in Paris, Novosonic Festival and Fnac in Dijon, Silent Friday and Café Galao in Stuttgart, Treibhaus in Lucerne, and many others. Sutja’s first studio album, Cult & Truth, depicts an expanded palette of colors that represents different aspects of life. His new EP, The Legend of Time, is now available.

10 pm: Trampas (Fever, Bilbao)
Style: Electronic music

A highly influential artist in the Basque Country, Trampas took his first steps back in 1995, performing in top Basque venues. Soon he became a resident DJ in clubs like Txitxarro and a regular in international festivals like Big-Bang. Relying on his inseparable ‘aita’ (father) Ima Txill-Aut, he has carried out several music projects, including Global and Clavando Producciones, among others. His fresh style and gift for music have brought him close to the likes of Oscar Mulero, Jeff Mills or James Ruskin—artists with whom he shares preferences and styles. Thanks to recent projects like Exquisite Klub at Blue Fever, he has become part of Bilbao’s nightlife, while his Art After Dark performance alongside Miss Kittin has shown he deserves his place at the electronic music evenings held at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
