IDOIA
Born in Aramaio, Araba, Basque Country, IDOIA made her entrance in the Basque music scene in 2021. Her debut album, Ilun eta abar, was released when she was only 21 years old. Its seven tracks showed her maturity as an artist, revealing both their contemporary fabric and their classic scent. Aulki jokoa, Munstroa, Viejo refranero… are musical beauties where folk, pop, traditional music, and even bossa nova are contained.
De amar y desandar gathers her experiences and memories of the past few months, when she blossomed like a flower in the desert: frail but positive about the future, retracing her steps to rescue images and sensations from the past, and transform them into music for this album. Super 8 films, organic development, and chemical liquids seem to govern the sounds in this album.
