Dantzaldia Dance Paula Comitre
Admission
€8 Museum Members ; €10 General public
Location
Venue and time: Auditorium, 6:00 pm
As part of the Dantzaldia Festival, Paula Comitre presents Après vous, madame, an exquisite homage to dancer Antonia Mercé, known professionally as “La Argentina”. This tribute to a leading light in Spanish dance and flamenco takes a thoroughly modern approach, pitched somewhere between a musical, a performance piece and the visual arts, tackling subjects such as cultural tradition, the importance of identity, discovery and learning. Dancing onstage, Paula Comitre ties her performance in with the textiles of artist María Alcaide and the contemporary piano of French composer Orlando Bass, celebrating the legacy of great Spanish masters, such as Isaac Albéniz, Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados and Joaquín Nin.
Organized in partnership with La Fundición as part of the Museum’s TopARTE program.
Estimated duration: 75 min.
You will not be admitted to the Auditorium once the performance has begun.
