Digital Image Workshops: Animation with Pika-Pika
Admission
€7 Museum Members / €9 general public
Let’s take photographs of light drawings to make an animation video using the pika-pika technique! Pika-pika is a Japanese onomatopoeia for something that is shiny, sparkling, or gleaming. It refers to a technique used to generate moving images by drawing with torches in the dark.
Taking inspiration from artists Jenny Holzer and Lucio Fontana, you will tell your own stories with abstract elements and moving letters that appear between frames. Even if you have never drawn before, you can create animations with this method that anyone can use. You can’t go wrong!
