Highlighting projects with a strong social focus, we are once again proud to collaborate with the FILM SOZIALAK Invisible Film Festival.
As part of the Museum’s TOParte programme, this activity offers an opportunity for social reflection through a curated selection of audiovisual works from both local and international creators, creating a space for encounter, listening and dialogue. The screening will be followed by a conversation between a representative of the featured film and J. Carlos Vázquez Velasco, Director of Kultura Communication Desarrollo (KCD) ONGD and of the Bilbao International Invisible Film Festival, 'Film Sozialak’.
Screening of SIMA'S SONG
Dir. Roya Sadat / Fiction / Afghanistan, Greece, Spain / 2024 / 97 min.

In 1978 Kabul, a city torn between past and present, two women form a friendship that withstands war, ideology, and betrayal. Suraya, a communist activist, and Sima, a traditional singer, embody two opposing visions of freedom. Through decades of struggle, persecution, and exile, their bond becomes the invisible thread connecting the collective memory of Afghan women.
After the screening, there will be a talk featuring Roya Sadat, the film's director.
