Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara is coming to the Museum to introduce his exhibition, installed in gallery 105 and on view through November. As an introduction to the exhibition, this talk will reveal interesting aspects of Nara’s career and work. Drawing inspiration from childhood and personal stories, as well as from punk, folk, and underground music, Nara’s works contain numerous references to nature, spirituality, literature, and the history of European and Japanese art.
