Orientation Session: Maria Helena Vieira da Silva. Anatomy of Space

A session with the Museum’s Education Team to help you plan your visit to the exhibition with your students. This exhibition will introduce you to the style of Portuguese painter Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, whose paintings present spaces that bring the real and the imaginary together, prompting reflection on the boundaries between representation and abstraction. The perfect place to trigger discussion of such topics as perception, composition, and the use of color in the visual arts.
