Everyday objects
Everyday objects

Barbara Kruger has expanded her artistic practice by designing everyday objects, using the same direct and provocative visual language that defines her large-scale works. Metro cards, T-shirts, magazine covers, and even skateboards have become carriers of her messages. By appropriating familiar objects that people carry or wear in their day-to-day lives, her provocative phrases take on new forms of circulation and impact, turning the user into a vehicle for critical thought with the power to challenge those who cross their path. Far from being artist merchandising, these objects act as extensions of her discourse that transform each surface into an opportunity to question the world we inhabit.
