In the context of the 22nd International Festival for Emerging Performing Artists – ACT Festival, the Museum is staging two dance performances.
First, Korean duo GOMsisun—dancer and choreographer Kim Hyunwoo and dancer Kim Eunyi—will perform Chose to Stray than Stay (20 min.), which was premiered at the Seoul International Dance Festival in 2024. A mix of traditional Korean and contemporary dance, the piece is about love and its conundrums. Then, Lyon-based contemporary dance company Cie MF | Maxime & Francesco founded by choreographers, dance teachers, and performers Maxime Freixas and Francesco Colaleo, will deliver Re-Garde (30 min.), a two-man performance exploring the sense of sight. In Re-Garde, two men mirror each other’s movements, ready to give, take, and lose, to be manipulated, stirred, and left behind.
