In this session, we will learn about Tarsila do Amaral, an incredible artist who was born in Brazil.
We will hear fascinating stories from the Amazon jungle and meet interesting women who have sometimes been forgotten by the history books. We will learn how Tarsila de Amaral used lines, shapes, and colors in her paintings. We will take inspiration from her art to imagine and draw people, animals, and fantastical plants, playing with different, fun proportions. During the activity, we will work as a team and stretch our imagination to its fullest.
This activity aims to integrate different creative languages in an interdisciplinary way (literature and the arts) through the use of English as a foreign language.
