Geaninne Gutiérrez-Guimarães, Museum curator and curator of the exhibition Gego. Measuring Infinity, will introduce the work of the German-Venezuelan visual artist Gego (Gertrud Louise Goldschmidt, b. Hamburg, 1912; d. Caracas, 1994), one of the most influential artists in Latin America in the second half of the 20th century. Gutiérrez-Guimarães will talk about the contents of the exhibition, a chronological survey of Gego’s production including sculptures, drawings, prints, sketchbooks, and textiles from the 1950s to the early 1990s.
