In this workshop, we will focus on the signs of winter in nature. The colors, shapes, and textures of the winter landscape will inspire our artistic creations.

We will learn that trees “sleep” in winter to protect themselves from cold, save energy, and get ready for spring. We will visit the exhibition Arts of the Earth to find inspiration for our own winter trees, which we will make using materials from nature – twigs, leaves, seeds, etc. – and decorating them in a cold color palette. Our trees will bring nature and art together, and they will become symbols of our concern with and respect for the environment.
