Location

Venue and time: Auditorium, 6:30 pm

The Museum is screening a series of documentaries and fiction films selected in connection with the exhibition Arts of the Earth. The films encourage reflection on man’s ways of living on Earth – past, present, and future – by telling stories in which culture and nature are intertwined.

Aboriginal wisdom as a form of resistance against deforestation of the Amazon rainforest; the intervention of Victorian naturalists on Ascension Island; a fable in which humans must hibernate if they are to live; the rural world in the so-called “emptied Spain”; the life of a beekeeper in Macedonia… These are some of the stories and topics discussed in the films. On Thursday 19 and Friday 20, the films will be followed by talks with directors Anna Cornudella Castro and Juan Palacios, respectively (*).
