Visit our exhibition Helen Frankenthaler: Painting without Rules with Esther Musgo (Esther Moñivas Mayor), who specializes in the history of contemporary art and in experimental media.
In this tour, Esther Musgo will discuss the role of water in contemporary art, both as a tool and as a source of inspiration in connection with landscapes. Guided by her expertise, we will find new ways of understanding the flowing color blotches in Frankenthaler’s work and appreciating the presence of water on the canvas and as an elemental force. She will also analyze the relevance of water in the Museum’s surroundings.
