The April opera screening from the Teatro Real Archive will be a 2022 dance performance by the New York City Ballet with renowned choreography pieces by George Balanchine and Justin Peck, including two classical pieces—Serenade (35 min., 1934) to music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Square Dance (25 min., 1957), to music by Antonio Vivaldi and Arcangelo Corelli— and the electronic music piece The Times Are Racing (25 min., 2017) by Dan Deacon. A delicious show for both the ears and eyes, incorporating tap dancing in the style of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.
