This new series begins with Nabucco, a 2022 Teatro Real production. Nabucco is a lyrical drama in four acts composed in 1841 by Giuseppe Verdi (b. 1813; d. 1901) to an Italian libretto by Temistocle Solera (b. 1815; d. 1878), based on the 1836 play by Auguste Anicet-Bourgeois and Francis Cornu, as well as on Antonio Cortesi’s ballet adaptation of the play. It was premiered at La Scala in Milan in 1842, first performed at the Teatro Real in 1853.

Conductor: Nicola Luisotti. Stage director: Andreas Homoki. Choir director: Andrés Máspero. Resident orchestra and choir of Teatro Real.

Language: Italian with subtitles in Spanish. Once the concert starts, late arrivals will not be allowed in.
