Opera Screenings: Teatro Real Archive

For opera lovers who enjoy performances on the big screen, selected operas from the comprehensive archive of Teatro Real are screened the last Friday of every month in the Auditorium. This month, we will screen Turandot, the last opera composed by Giacomo Puccini (1858–1924), set to a libretto in Italian by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni. This production of Turandot, with a cast led by Nina Stemme, Gregory Kunde, and Yolanda Auyanet, was a spectacular production by Robert Wilson performed under the musical direction of Nicola Luisotti, staged at Teatro Real in 2018 (in Italian, with subtitles in Spanish).
