Come and enjoy our interactive performance Doppel-Chess, designed by Olatz de Andrés as a dialogue between dance, chess, and the visual arts.
To Portuguese painter Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, chess was a valid tool for rational analysis and the development of intelligence skills, and could be extended to creative disciplines like dance.
Performed by Lokke Dance Company, Doppel-Chess has two central themes: chess and movement. Two bodies that merge through their own acts and chess pieces that move in connection with Vieira da Silva’s oeuvre and the stunning architecture of the Museum’s Atrium.
