On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Basque musician Gabriel Erkoreka composed Hamar, a piece to be performed like a music installation in various spaces inside the Museum. Hamar explores different parts of Frank Gehry’s building, engaging in dialogue with the works in the Permanent Collection and adding a sound dimension to them, enhancing our awareness of space by highlighting their presence.

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Museum will offer new performances of Hamar on April 30 and May 1 – two on Saturday and two on Sunday, all four in the afternoon. Visitors will come across the performers in various spaces as they get around the Museum.
