Summer Workshops for Kids
Location
Museum’s education spaces, galleries, and, weather permitting, outside the building
In these workshops, kids will discover different creation techniques as they visit the Museum’s exhibitions. They will create, learn, and make new friends while engaging in art activities and having fun. A new adventure every day!
You will imagine you are an artist, and you will think like them, inspired by the works of Yayoi Kusama, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Oskar Kokoschka, and others. These workshops encourage kids to try different things painting with their bodies, transforming materials, associating colors with emotions, drawing infinity through repetition, materializing the invisible element in music using the superpowers of art, etc. always leaving room for improvisation and play.
Every day in the morning, there will be a little bit of Art through Storytelling, an activity conducted in English by teachers from the British Council Bilbao.
The activities in the Summer Workshops for Kids are designed as an open set to meet the specific skills, times, and interests of boys and girls.
If you wish, you can bring your own mid-morning snack to the workshop. We suggest you also bring a painter coat or other suitable clothes, which you can leave at the Museum until the end of the week.
