To Yayoi Kusama, pumpkins are a symbol of happiness. They embody her fascination with nature and even stand for her own soul. No two pumpkins are absolutely alike – just like no two individuals are the same – and we have to take care of them all. So, if you are coming to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao this summer and you are under 18, you will get pumpkin seeds to grow into pumpkins similar to those used by Kusama in her work. Follow the instructions to plant them as a memento of your visit to her exhibition at the Museum, and of the feelings her works aroused in you.
