As part of the Didaktika project, the Museum designs educational spaces and organizes complementary activities for the exhibitions, both in the galleries and online, to contribute to the appreciation and understanding of the works on display.

The Didaktika project for Sections/Intersections – the exhibition staged to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Museum and its collection – will be carried out both on-site and online under the title, If Walls Could Talk…

This didactic space devoted to the chapter of the exhibition entitled Unfolding Narratives alludes to the Museum’s iconic architecture, by Frank Gehry, the diversity of shapes and dimensions of the galleries, and the importance of natural or artificial lighting in these spaces, as all of this substantially influences the experience of many of the works displayed.

If Walls Could Talk… offers multiple stories with which we can learn, reflect, and enjoy the 25 years of the Collection and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Look carefully at the key concepts and images presented, which reveal the most hidden aspects of works by Joseph Beuys (b. 1921; d. 1986), Christian Boltanski (b. 1944; d. 2021), Francesco Clemente (b. 1952), and Abigail Lazkoz (b. 1972).
