The substrate of Art
The substrate of Art

As part of the Didaktika program, the Museum offers educational spaces and digital content to accompany exhibitions and provide visitors with tools and resources to facilitate appreciation of the works on display.

On this occasion, this section titled Did you know that…? explores several key notions from the exhibition Arts of the Earth. Through the work of artists from different countries and contexts, this section invites us to reflect on our relationship with soil as a living, sensitive, and fertile material. Many of the works included in the show highlight the importance of symbiotic relationships between species, both human and non-human, to preserve biodiversity, which is essential for our collective survival. Some of them shed light on ancestral practices and knowledge passed down between generations. Others foster participation—with nature acting as a mediator and generator of encounters—or reveal processes of remediation, regeneration, and circular creation.

Thus, the content displayed here provides an opportunity to explore the different ideas presented in the exhibition.
