Yoshitomo Nara

As part of the Didaktika project, the Museum designs educational spaces and organizes complementary activities for the exhibitions, both in the galleries and online, to contribute to the appreciation and understanding of the works on display.

Yoshitomo Nara currently lives and works in Japan. This section, entitled Did you know?, includes some of the most important milestones in Nara’s life and career, and explains how music influenced him during his childhood and youth, especially that from the Vietnam war era. This biography also highlights his most socially-committed side advocating for global peace and his support of the anti-nuclear demonstrations in Japan in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
