Solano’s first solo exhibition takes place at the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona.

1981

Begins to teach in the faculty of fine arts at the Universitat de Barcelona.

1983

Exhibits at Galería Ciento in Barcelona.

1985

Receives the Special Prize from the Utsukushi-ga-Hara Open-Air Museum in Japan.

1986

Exhibitions of Solano’s work are held at Galería Fernando Vijande in Madrid and Galería Charpa in Valencia, Spain. The Serpentine Gallery in London presents a joint exhibition with Miquel Navarro and José María Sicilia. Selected to participate in a show of works by ten young artists entitled Correspondance Europe at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
