Corporate Collecting
Corporate Collecting

As part of their corporate social responsibility, many companies set up foundations whose initiatives include promoting art. Through research grants, awards, or the acquisition of artworks, these institutions assemble art collections that are aligned with their brand values and foster creativity within their sectors.

Corporate collections can serve different purposes: they can support local or emerging artists, promote wellbeing by inspiring the people who work in the company, serve as investments, and even, in the case of some large corporations or brands, make up their own museum.

Likewise, these companies also bring value to society by lending pieces to exhibitions or making deposits and donations to museums. Thus, our audiences can currently enjoy the piece Blood (1989) by American artist Nancy Dwyer (b. 1954), which was deposited at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao by Tubacex in 1999.
